A prominent Indian American community leader, Ajay Bhutoria, has unveiled a new Hindi campaign song called “Nacho Nacho” in support of Democratic nominee Kamala Harris. Drawing inspiration from the Oscar-winning song “Naatu Naatu” from the movie RRR, this musical initiative features Bollywood singer Shibani Kashyap. The primary objective is to engage South Asian voters to rally behind the Indian-origin candidate, Kamala Harris, for the upcoming election on November 5.
“Nacho Nacho” represents more than just a musical piece; it symbolizes a grassroots movement. Bhutoria took to the social media platform X to share his enthusiasm, stating, “I am thrilled to present our latest music video, ‘Nacho Nacho,’ advocating for @VP Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign! Let’s unite and drive South Asian voter participation in crucial swing states.” With a significant demographic of over 4.4 million Indian Americans and 6 million South Asians eligible to vote, the ultimate aim is to contribute to Vice President Kamala Harris’s success in the 2024 election, he emphasized.
The music video not only showcases Kamala Harris accepting her nomination but also transcends language and cultural boundaries, resonating with voters in various Indian languages such as Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Bengali, and beyond.
