Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has once again been the target of a serious death threat and extortion demand. On Tuesday, the Mumbai Police received an anonymous message through their traffic helpline, claiming that the actor would be killed if he did not pay ₹2 crore. An FIR has been registered against an unidentified individual following this alarming development, according to officials.
This is not the first time Khan has been threatened in recent weeks. Earlier this month, Mumbai’s traffic police received a similar message demanding ₹5 crore from the actor. In response, the police took swift action, leading to the arrest of a man from Jamshedpur in connection with the threats. On Monday, another individual from Noida, Uttar Pradesh, was apprehended by police for allegedly issuing a death threat to Khan, as well as to NCP leader Zeeshan Siddique.
The security concerns around Salman Khan have grown over time due to multiple threats. The actor previously received death threats allegedly linked to the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang. In April this year, suspected members of the Bishnoi gang fired shots outside Khan’s Bandra residence, further raising concerns about his safety. This led to an increase in security measures for the actor after the Navi Mumbai police foiled an alleged plot by the gang to harm him.
The Mumbai Police continue to monitor the situation closely to ensure the safety of the actor, taking every possible measure to address this ongoing threat. Fans and the film industry alike are hopeful that the authorities’ efforts will keep Salman Khan safe and bring those responsible to justice.
