Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has once again received a chilling threat, with a demand for ₹5 crore, from an individual claiming to be the brother of incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The threat, received late Monday night at the Mumbai traffic police control room in Worli, also demanded that Khan publicly apologize at the Bishnoi community’s temple over the alleged blackbuck poaching incident.
The threatening message stated, “If Salman Khan wants to stay alive, he should go to our (Bishnoi community) temple and apologize or pay ₹5 crore. If he does not comply, we will kill him; our gang is still active.” This disturbing development prompted the on-duty security officer to immediately inform higher authorities and the Worli police, who have since intensified security around Khan.
Salman Khan has previously been targeted by threats from the Bishnoi gang. In April this year, suspected gang members fired shots outside his Bandra home, and Navi Mumbai police recently uncovered another alleged plot to harm him. Khan’s security measures have been further increased to ensure his safety as police investigate the origin of this recent threat and its possible connections to Lawrence Bishnoi, currently detained in Sabarmati Jail, Gujarat, on multiple criminal charges.
Despite the looming threats, Khan has resumed shooting for his upcoming film Sikandar with co-star Rashmika Mandanna at the scenic Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad. Behind-the-scenes clips from the set have surfaced on social media, showing Khan immersed in his work while the police ensure all necessary protective measures are in place. His dedication to his craft, even amidst heightened security concerns, has earned him the admiration of fans and industry insiders alike.
