In the wake of the tragic murder of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui, Bollywood megastar Salman Khan has been provided with Y+ security by the Mumbai police. The murder, which has shocked many, was reportedly carried out by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, a criminal faction that had also previously targeted Salman Khan. Given Siddiqui’s close friendship with Salman, authorities are leaving no stone unturned to ensure the actor’s safety.

Baba Siddiqui, a well-known political figure and a close associate of Salman Khan, was brutally murdered, and the Lawrence Bishnoi gang quickly claimed responsibility. The gang has long been known to harbor animosity toward Salman, and this recent event has prompted the police to act swiftly to secure the actor and other Bollywood stars.

Y+ Security for Salman Khan

Salman Khan is now under Y+ security, which means he has a detail of 11 security guards assigned to him at all times. This includes two armed police officers stationed outside his Galaxy apartment in Bandra, Mumbai. The Y+ security category is one of the highest levels of protection provided by the government for individuals facing significant threats. For Salman, it also includes restrictions on who he can meet and curbs on public appearances.

In light of this, the police have made strict arrangements to ensure that no unauthorized individuals meet Salman, and photography sessions, selfies, or any other public interaction outside his home have been banned. Security has been significantly increased around the actor’s residence, and Salman’s interactions with friends, family, and fans have been minimized as a precautionary measure.

Why Such High Security?

The government of India provides varying levels of security for individuals based on the level of threat they face. There are six security categories: X, Y, Y+, Z, Z+, and SPG. While SPG is reserved for the Prime Minister and their entourage, Salman Khan’s Y+ security involves an elite team of armed guards monitoring his movements, both at his residence and in public.

Salman’s connection to Baba Siddiqui and the danger posed by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang is the primary reason for this heightened security. The gang, which has repeatedly threatened Salman, reportedly targeted Siddiqui due to his relationship with the actor.

Salman Khan’s Response to the Situation

Salman Khan, visibly shaken by his friend’s death, attended Siddiqui’s funeral but has since avoided public engagements. The actor was in the middle of shooting for Bigg Boss but stopped work temporarily to grieve the loss of his close friend. Salman has reportedly informed his team and well-wishers that he will not meet relatives, friends, or fans in person for the time being, focusing instead on ensuring his and his family’s safety.

Even though Salman is one of the most beloved stars in the country, the recent events have led him to be more cautious about his public appearances. His team and the Mumbai police are working together to ensure the actor remains safe amid these troubling circumstances.
