Akshay Kumar generously donated 1.21 crore for the renovation of Haji Dargah in Mumbai. As per the Dargah Trust members, the actor, who recently visited the sacred place, was among the first volunteers and took charge of revamping a section of the Dargah. Akshay was also seen serving meals to the homeless on the streets of Mumbai. Not long ago, he contributed 25 lakh to support the financially struggling family of Punjabi folk singer Gurmeet Bawa. In a display of solidarity with the crew members, Akshay chose to waive his payment for the film “Bade Miyan Chotte Miyan” upon discovering that the producer had not compensated the team. Alongside his co-star Tiger Shroff, who also refused his salary, the duo encouraged Pooja Entertainment to prioritize compensating the crew. Despite facing setbacks with over 9 film projects, Akshay remains dedicated to his philanthropic endeavors.
