In a significant step toward making Andhra Pradesh a global technology hub, IT and Electronics Minister N. Lokesh met Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen in San Francisco to pitch the state as an ideal location for Adobe’s research and development (R&D) facility. Lokesh emphasized that under the vision of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Andhra Pradesh is fostering an investor-friendly climate, making it an attractive destination for tech and innovation-focused investments.
Minister Lokesh highlighted the state’s commitment to digital transformation, proposing that Adobe collaborate with Andhra Pradesh on its ambitious smart governance initiative. “The state is perfectly positioned for investments, and our policies are aimed at supporting innovative enterprises,” Lokesh shared with Narayen, adding that a partnership with Adobe would accelerate Andhra Pradesh’s digital evolution.
Shantanu Narayen, the Indian-origin CEO of Adobe, commended Andhra Pradesh’s progressive approach, acknowledging Adobe’s success in digital media, cloud-based services, and document productivity tools. With a global market cap of ₹17.95 lakh crore, Adobe has made a significant impact through popular products like Photoshop, Acrobat, and its AI-driven innovations. Narayen expressed optimism, stating that Adobe will consider investment opportunities after further discussions with company partners.
