The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet, under the leadership of Chief Minister N. In a recent press briefing, CM Naidu described these policies as “game changers” that will facilitate industrial growth, boost the MSME sector, enhance food processing capabilities, foster electronics manufacturing, and promote clean and green energy across the state.
The newly launched policies include:
AP Industrial Development Policy 4.0 – Aims to bolster the state’s industrial sector with an emphasis on innovation, technological advancements, and competitiveness.
AP MSME Entrepreneur Development Policy 4.0 – Focused on nurturing the MSME sector by providing support for new entrepreneurs and enabling the growth of small and medium enterprises.
AP Food Processing Policy 4.0 – Seeks to modernize and expand the food processing industry, facilitating value addition and export opportunities.
AP Electronic Policy 4.0 – Dedicated to creating a robust ecosystem for electronics manufacturing, with incentives for startups and major players alike.
AP Industrial Park Policy 4.0 – This policy is aimed at developing industrial parks that provide comprehensive infrastructure and amenities to businesses.

CM Naidu emphasized that these policies align with the state’s goal to create 20 lakh jobs over the next five years, under the “Jobs First” motto. He explained, “Our priority is to generate employment opportunities and boost economic growth. Each of these policies has been designed to make Andhra Pradesh a leading player in sectors such as IT, industrial development, food processing, and renewable energy.”
In addition to these policies, the Cabinet also discussed the new industrial policy and the introduction of a ‘three free gas refills’ scheme, aimed at providing relief to households. Moreover, CM Naidu cautioned party leaders and ministers to maintain a non-partisan approach to the free sand supply process, reinforcing the need to uphold the government’s integrity.
Future Policies on the Horizon:
CM Naidu hinted at additional policies in the pipeline, particularly in IT and tourism. He remarked, “Soon, we will bring forth new policies focusing on the IT and tourism sectors to complement these initial six policies. We’ve put a lot of effort into ensuring these policies will set a strong foundation for our state’s future.”
