Andhra Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister, Pawan Kalyan, recently made significant comments regarding the ongoing demolition of Hydra structures in Telangana. The demolitions of Hydras, which have been a persistent issue, are poised to escalate into a social problem due to the prolonged construction activities in the Full Tank Level (FTL) areas for the past two decades. Many residents have erected homes in these areas out of necessity, facing a lack of water resources.
Expressing his concerns, Pawan emphasized that the demolitions would pose challenges for the affected individuals and stressed the importance of providing viable alternatives post-demolition. In light of these developments, the Deputy CM conducted a thorough review of the relief measures implemented in flood-affected regions. During his visit to the command control center in Vijayawada, Pawan engaged with officials to understand the gravity of the flood situation and assess the effectiveness of relief initiatives.
In a commendable act of support, Pawan Kalyan, also known as Power Star, pledged a generous donation of Rs.1 crore towards aiding flood victims. Notably, he declared that this contribution would be made personally and directed towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, showcasing his commitment to assisting those in need.
