BJP National Joint General Secretary Sivaprakash and BJP AP President Daggubati Purandeshwari recently visited Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu at his residence in Undavalli to discuss nominated posts. The BJP leadership is reportedly seeking additional posts for their dedicated party workers who have shown commitment. There are talks of BJP requesting representation in nominated posts similar to the seat adjustments made in the previous election.
Ahead of the meeting with CM Chandrababu Naidu, Sivaprakash held discussions with BJP MLAs and MPs at Purandeshwari’s residence in Vijayawada, primarily focusing on the matter of nominated posts. Following internal party dialogue, Purandeshwari and Sivaprakash met with the Chief Minister to express their concerns and aspirations.
AP BJP Chief Purandheswari emphasized the importance of maintaining coordination within the alliance, citing the unity displayed in the previous elections. Minister Satyakumar acknowledged the efforts of BJP workers and their desire for nominated posts, highlighting the potential for increased engagement with the public through these responsibilities.
Additionally, the BJP is actively engaged in a membership registration program, with Party State President Purandheswari rallying BJP MLAs and MPs to participate actively, commencing from September 1. The political landscape in Andhra Pradesh is witnessing intense competition among the major parties for nominated posts, especially in light of the TDP’s significant victories in the previous election.
