Black panther in the forests of Odisha

A black panther was seen in the forests of Odisha. Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (PCCF) Sushanta Nando disclosed the details on social media ‘X’.

He said that this leopard was caught by the trap cameras set up for counting tigers. He did not say in which forest it was found. It has been revealed that this is not the first time that a black leopard has been seen, but it was seen once in the forests of Sundergarh district in 2018.
