Nara Lokesh, Andhra Pradesh’s IT, electronics, and education minister, has wrapped up his high-profile “Brand AP” tour across major U.S. cities, garnering a positive response from top-tier companies and investors alike. With the mission of “bringing Andhra Pradesh back on track,” Lokesh’s strategic visit aimed at reversing setbacks the state faced due to prior policies, marking a new era of growth and opportunity for the region.
During his whirlwind tour, Lokesh received a red-carpet welcome from key industry leaders. High-profile meetings with technology giants like Google’s Sundar Pichai and Microsoft’s Satya Nadella, along with significant discussions with representatives from Amazon, Tesla, Apple, and Salesforce, reflected the global interest in Andhra Pradesh’s development. Lokesh’s Stanford University background helped cement these discussions as he passionately shared the vision of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for a progressive, investment-friendly Andhra Pradesh.
The tour culminated at the IT Survey Synergy Summit in Las Vegas, where Lokesh, as the special guest, addressed representatives from 2,300 small and medium businesses across 23 countries, explaining Andhra Pradesh’s supportive business policies and high Ease of Doing Business ranking. The U.S.-India Business Council and the Indian diaspora showed a keen interest in the opportunities Andhra Pradesh offers, especially with the upcoming World Economic Forum Summit in 2025.
Through this tour, Lokesh has instilled renewed confidence among international investors, paving the way for substantial investments and collaborations. With a strong commitment to driving Andhra Pradesh’s global presence, Lokesh’s efforts signal a bright future for the state.
