Police believe the film business is home to more drug users.
The Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TGANB) and the Narsingi Police are said to have detained Aman Preet Singh, the brother of Tollywood and Bollywood actress Rakul Preet Singh.
Five drug dealers, including two foreign nationals, were apprehended by the police during the raid, and 199 grams of cocaine were taken from their custody.
Onuoha Blessing and Azeez Noheem Aceshoka were named as the people who had been taken into custody. Mohd Mahaboob Shareef, Sanaboina Varun Kumar, and Allam Satya Venkata Gowtham.
After being questioned, the five drug dealers who had been apprehended named 13 customers, among them Aman Preet. Five of these have been taken into custody after testing positive for cocaine.
Actor Aman Preet Singh was reportedly discovered on the list of customers and was taken into custody.
Aman, among others, was said to have established a drug supply and demand network in Hyderabad. They allegedly obtained the drugs from a Nigerian dealer who was trying to sell them to neighborhood drug dealers.
When asked if Aman Preet Singh was involved with the drug network, the police said that they were still looking into it.
“A tip-off led to the arrests, and there are hints that additional people with connections to the sector may have been involved. Police stated that a thorough investigation is being conducted.
On Monday, the raid happened at Janab Fort View Apartments, Flat No. 202, in Vishal Nagar, Hydershakote. 199 grams of cocaine valued at 35 lakh were seized by the police along with two passports, two motorcycles, 10 cell phones, and other items.
