Celebrating Excellence: Highlights from the 70th National Film Awards Ceremony

The announcement of the 70th National Film Awards by the Center took place this evening, revealing the winners in various categories. Kartikeya 2 and the Malayalam film Autumn emerged victorious as the best regional Telugu films, while KGF 2 shone as the recipient of the National Film Award in the Kannada category. Rishabh Shetty claimed the coveted best actor award for his role in Kantara, and the Jury made a joint decision to honor Nithya Menon (Thiruchitambalam) and Manasi Parekh (Kutch Express) as the Best Actress.

Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan of Andhra Pradesh extended his congratulations to the deserving winners of the National Film Awards. A heartfelt round of applause goes out to all the talented actors, directors, and technicians recognized at the prestigious event. The joy of winning the award for ‘Kartikeya-2’ in the Best Regional Film category from Telugu was evident. Kudos to the film’s director Chandu Mondeti, producers Abhishek Agarwal and TG Vishwaprasad, lead actor Nikhil Siddharth, and the entire film crew.


Films like Kantara, Ponnayan Selvan-1, Tiruchithrambalam, and KGF-2 received accolades in various categories for their appeal to the Telugu audience through translation. Special mention goes to the exceptional performances of Best Actress Nithya Menon and Best Actor Rishabh Shetty. Johnny Master, a socially conscious artist, was recognized for his outstanding choreography skills at the National Film Awards. His unique blend of folk and western dance styles captivated audiences and showcased his talent. Johnny Master expressed his hopes for continued success and more awards in the future as he strives to earn the appreciation of his audience through his mesmerizing dances.
