On the occasion of Donald Trump’s re-election as President of the United States, Indian artist Moka Vijay Kumar celebrated in his own unique way—by creating an extraordinary portrait of Trump entirely out of snacks and natural grains. This unconventional piece of art not only captures Trump’s likeness but also features the American flag in the background, symbolizing his victory and strength.

Vijay Kumar, an artist known for his innovative use of materials, spent three days crafting this piece in anticipation of Trump’s victory. His creative process involved five types of chirudhaya, including arikes, korras, samlas, sajjas, and black samlas. Carefully selected for their colors and textures, these grains brought vibrancy and depth to the portrait, reflecting Trump’s bold persona.

The dedication and time Vijay Kumar invested in this art form reveal his admiration for Trump and his enthusiasm for US-India relations. Vijay Kumar noted, “I wanted to send my congratulations to the President in a special way, representing both India’s cultural roots and the strong bond between our nations.”

Adding a personal touch, Vijay Kumar expressed pride in the success of James David Vance, who is Trump’s running mate and Vice-President, and happens to be the son-in-law of a Telugu family. On this occasion, he also extended his congratulations to Vance and his wife, Chilukuri Usha, celebrating their achievements alongside Trump’s victory.

This artwork has not only drawn the attention of Trump supporters but also highlighted the cultural ties between India and the United States. With grains and snacks as his medium, Vijay Kumar has created a stunning tribute that blends tradition with contemporary political events.

As Vijay Kumar’s tribute garners admiration from both art lovers and political enthusiasts, it stands as a testament to how art can bridge worlds and celebrate victories in meaningful ways. The meticulous portrait of Trump, designed with grains, may serve as a reminder of the enduring friendship and goodwill shared between India and the US.
