The recent floods have wreaked havoc in many states, with victims struggling to cope with the aftermath. In response to these challenges, the central government has taken decisive action by providing flood aid to states facing difficulties.

Union Minister of Mines G. Kishan Reddy has expressed gratitude to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for their support in providing flood relief to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The impact of the floods has been particularly severe in the Telugu states, with cities like Khammam and Vijayawada bearing the brunt of the disaster. The Central Government’s timely release of funds aims to expedite rehabilitation efforts and ensure the swift delivery of essential supplies to affected communities.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the guidance of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the Modi government is committed to alleviating the hardships faced by those affected by natural calamities. The government has dispatched inter-ministerial central teams to assess the damage in flood-affected states like Assam, Mizoram, Kerala, Tripura, Nagaland, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Manipur, Bihar, and West Bengal.

In total, the central government has allocated over Rs. 14,958 crore to 21 states impacted by heavy rains, floods, and landslides during the southwest monsoon season.
