Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu urged Telugu Desam Members of Parliament on Saturday to prioritize securing funds from various Central ministries, highlighting the importance of financing for the Polavaram and Amaravati projects for the progress of Andhra Pradesh.

Ahead of the Parliamentary session on Monday, Naidu provided strategic advice to party MPs, with state ministers also in attendance.

Naidu criticized former chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy for engaging in “fake politics,” asserting that despite being rejected in the polls, Reddy’s behavior remains unchanged. He remarked, “Compared to the previous YSRC government and Jagan Mohan Reddy, even extremists and terrorists seem better.”

He stressed that the focus should be on actionable steps rather than Reddy’s activities in Delhi. Naidu instructed party members to advocate for Andhra Pradesh’s development in Parliament and to gather information from various agencies. MPs were encouraged to liaise with state and Union ministers in their respective departments as necessary.

“The Central government should provide programs, funding, and schemes for AP. Many have placed their trust in us, enabling our victories with strong majorities,” the CM stated.

He emphasized the need for Central funding for projects like the Jal Jeevan Mission, Polavaram, and Amaravati, and noted that MPs must ensure the implementation of the AP Reorganisation Act’s provisions. He mentioned ongoing discussions with the Telangana government regarding property division as outlined in Schedules 9 and 10 of the Act.

Naidu also urged MPs to counter misinformation about the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) and to engage with the Center to ensure effective management of the plant, suggesting that it should consider allocating mines to VSP.

Lastly, he instructed the MPs to advocate for the implementation of railway and highway projects in Andhra Pradesh, emphasizing the importance of making every moment count in their roles. “If you take the initiative, good things will come to the state soon,” Naidu concluded.
