In the wake of heavy rains in Telangana, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has directed the NDRF teams to take all measures without loss of life. Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Sunday (September 1) morning brought to Amit Shah’s attention the heavy rains in Telangana and the situation in the joint Khammam and Warangal districts.
Amit Shah explained that 110 villages were flooded in Khammam district, with individuals trapped in different locations. Responding promptly, Amit Shah ordered the dispatch of 9 NDRF teams to Telangana, emphasizing the importance of ensuring no loss of life.
Bandi Sanjay, in coordination with state authorities, facilitated the deployment of additional NDRF teams and urged relief measures to be swiftly implemented. The situation worsened as heavy floods inundated various areas, leading to dramatic rescue operations and unfortunate losses.
The impact of the rains extended beyond human lives, affecting livestock and infrastructure across districts, highlighting the urgent need for coordinated relief efforts and vigilance from all stakeholders.
