The AP government, under the leadership of Chandrababu, has made significant decisions aimed at bolstering local institutions. A notable move involves the allocation of substantial funds to support local organizations. On the directive of CM Chandrababu, a total of Rs. 1452 crores has been disbursed to these entities. This allocation, part of the 15th financial commission’s funds, includes Rs. 998 crores for rural organizations and Rs. 454 crores for urban counterparts.
Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav emphasized that these funds were released in alignment with the CM’s directives, highlighting the government’s commitment to strengthening local bodies. Minister Payyavula expressed that the administration’s focus is on empowering villages, resonating with Bapuji’s vision that rural progress is paramount.
Furthermore, CM Chandrababu conducted a review of the Panchayat Raj Department with Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan and officials in attendance. Discussions during the meeting included discussions on raising the honorarium for local organization representatives and introducing a mobile app for sanitation management in villages. Additionally, a decision was made to eliminate the disqualification rule for competition for local organizations with more than two children. Deputy CM Pawan announced that gram sabhas will convene in panchayats on the 23rd of this month.
