A prominent YSRC leader and Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) named Duvvada Srinivas has formally lodged a complaint with the Tekkali police in the Srikakulam district. The complaint alleges that his wife Vani, daughter Haindavi, and five others have intruded onto his property and caused damage. In a twist, Vani has also filed a complaint with the same police, citing concerns for her safety and claiming trespassing.

Authorities have confirmed that legal actions have been initiated based on both complaints, invoking various sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhitha. As the situation unfolds, Srinivas remains indoors while his wife and daughter are holding a protest in a shed outside the house. The police inspector has clarified that no arrests have been made thus far.

The conflict escalated recently at Srinivas’ new residence, where Vani and Haindavi, supported by their relatives, forcibly entered the premises by breaking the compound gate and unlocking the main door. Their attempt to enter the house was thwarted by Srinivas’ associates, prompting him to swiftly report the incident to the police. Notably, Srinivas had applied for a firearm license on August 5 due to perceived threats to his safety.

The root of the turmoil traces back to allegations raised by Vani against a woman named Divvala Madhuri, accusing her of engaging in an illicit relationship with Srinivas. Vani’s visit to Srinivas’ residence with her elder daughter was met with resistance from the security guard, leading to a public statement by Vani implicating Madhuri in causing discord within the family.

In response, Madhuri expressed her dismay at being embroiled in the family dispute, emphasizing that any issues between Vani and Srinivas should be resolved directly. She refuted Vani’s accusations, asserting that Vani’s actions were defamatory, damaging her reputation and that of her family. Madhuri disclosed that she had no intention of being involved with Srinivas and clarified that Vani had sought political support from the YSRC chief for electoral aspirations in the Tekkali Assembly constituency.
