Full Content:BRS leaders in Telangana have voiced their frustration at the Congress government’s apparent indifference to the worsening public health crisis in the state. Former minister Harish Rao has taken a stand against the government’s lack of response to the rising cases of toxic fever and dengue, which are plaguing communities across Telangana.

Expressing deep concern, Harish Rao emphasized that the government’s negligence towards the health emergency is alarming, with reports indicating that nearly every household is affected by the spread of toxic fevers. He highlighted a startling 36% increase in dengue cases, yet criticized the government for failing to conduct any comprehensive reviews or provide adequate medical resources in response to the crisis.

Furthermore, Rao pointed out the dire situation in government hospitals, where essential medicines are reportedly unavailable, exacerbating the challenges faced by patients seeking treatment. The deteriorating sanitation conditions in the state have only added to the chaos, prompting fears of a looming health emergency.

In districts like Nizamabad and Karimnagar, the surge in poisonous fevers has overwhelmed hospitals, leading to a scarcity of beds in both government and private healthcare facilities. Harish Rao underscored the urgent need for immediate government intervention to address the escalating health crisis and ensure the well-being of the population.

Accusing both the government and the opposition of neglecting their responsibilities to address the toxic fevers and dengue outbreak, Harish Rao urged authorities to prioritize public health above all else.
