Govinda Recovering After Accidental Gunshot Injury, Thanks Fans for Their Support

Bollywood star Govinda is currently recovering in the hospital after suffering a bullet injury to his leg. In a heartfelt voice message sent to his fans and the media, the beloved actor assured everyone that he is on the road to recovery and expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support and good wishes.

The incident occurred on Tuesday morning at Govinda’s Juhu residence, as the actor was preparing to leave for a flight to Kolkata. According to his manager, Shashi Sinha, the mishap happened when Govinda was placing his licensed revolver in a cupboard. The firearm accidentally fell, and a bullet struck him just below the knee. The incident took place at approximately 4:45 a.m., and Govinda was immediately rushed to Criticare Hospital in Mumbai.

Doctors, led by Dr. Agarwal, successfully removed the bullet, and Govinda expressed his deep gratitude to the medical team, saying, “With his sincere efforts, the bullet was removed well in time.” The 60-year-old actor also credited the blessings of his fans, parents, and guru for his timely recovery.

While Govinda’s wife, Sunita, had already traveled to Kolkata for a show, she was informed of the accident and is now returning to Mumbai. Govinda’s daughter, Tina, is by his side in the hospital, and his manager confirmed that his health is stable and he is recovering well.

Though police responded to the incident at Govinda’s Juhu flat, no complaint has been registered.

Fans continue to send their love and prayers for Govinda’s speedy recovery, as the actor rests and recuperates with his family by his side.
