Grand Independence Day Celebrations: PM Modi Hoists Flag at Red Fort with Diverse Guests

The Independence Day celebrations featured around 4,000 special guests including farmers, youth, women, and individuals from low-income backgrounds. The attendees were organized into 11 groups, with one group comprising 1,000 guests from the agriculture and farmer welfare sector. Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked the 78th Independence Day by raising the national flag at the historic Red Fort for the 11th consecutive year, continuing a tradition started by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Notable guests also included 117 Indian athletes who took part in the Paris Olympics. Prime Minister Modi’s address to the nation from the Red Fort underscored the significance of the occasion, highlighting his tenure as the third-time Prime Minister after Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi.
