Vangalapudi Anitha, the home minister, has warned that severe measures would be taken if anarchist groups continue to attempt to disrupt the state’s law and order.
“The legal system will operate. When it comes to disciplining offenders, castes and parties should not be taken into account. In response to recent cases of attacks, she declared that strict measures will be used to ensure peace and order.
The minister pleaded for peacekeeping with the Telugu Desam and YSRC leaders. She asked the police to keep the general public safe, but she also said that nobody should impose their own laws. She said, “The cases of rape of minor girls are being thoroughly studied and it was found that such crimes are mostly done by close relatives.” In cooperation with the departments of women’s and children’s welfare, education, and law enforcement, a committee would be established to launch a special campaign against rape.
According to her, parent and student awareness sessions about the causes of rape would be held.
Meanwhile, Palnadu SP Srinivasa Rao denied any political involvement in the murder in Vinukonda in the district. “Rashid was slain by one Jilani out of personal animosity. This had no political implications. “No political party is involved in this murder,” he stated.
Vinukonda has been issued ban orders under Section 144 of the CrPC. Accused Jilani is said to have been arrested.
