The Indian Railways has introduced special train services to accommodate the surge in passengers during the upcoming festive period. One of these special trains, Train No. 08557, will operate between Visakhapatnam and Chennai Egmore for 13 trips. Departing from Visakhapatnam at 7 pm every Saturday from September 7 to October 30, the train will arrive at Chennai Egmore the following day at 8.45 am. The return journey, Train No. 08558, will depart from Chennai Egmore at 10.30 am on Sundays from September 8 to December, reaching Visakhapatnam the same day at 10.35 pm.
Another special express train, Train No. 08539, will run between Visakhapatnam and Kollam for 13 trips. Operating on Wednesdays, it will depart from Visakhapatnam at 8.20 am from September 4 to November 27 and reach Kollam on Thursdays at 12.55 pm. The return trip, Train No. 08540, will depart from Kollam on Thursdays at 7.35 pm from September 5 to November 28, arriving at Visakhapatnam on Fridays at 11:20 pm.
Additionally, Train No. 08436, a special service between Puri and Udhna, will depart from Puri at 11.15 am on Saturday, August 31, reaching Udhna at 7.55 pm the following day. The return journey, Train No. 08435, will leave Udhna at 10.55 pm on Sunday, September 1, arriving at Puri at 8:35 am on Tuesday.
Lastly, Train No. 08583 will run as a weekly special between Visakhapatnam and Tirupati. Departing from Visakhapatnam on Mondays at 7 pm from September 2 to November 25, it will reach Tirupati the next day at 9.15 am for 13 trips. The return trip will depart from Tirupati at 9:55 pm on Tuesdays from September 3 to November 26, reaching Visakhapatnam the following day at 10.15 am.
