Kamala Harris has garnered enough support from delegates to emerge as the presumptive nominee for the Democratic Party’s presidential race. This comes after the US Vice President received a surge of endorsements from potential competitors, legislators, state leaders, and influential advocacy groups. Harris, who has a background of Indian and African descent, has gained the endorsement of over the 1,976 pledged delegates necessary to clinch the Democratic Party’s nomination in the initial round of voting, as reported by CNN on the first day of her campaign. “When I declared my candidacy for President, I expressed my commitment to earn this nomination. Today, I am pleased to have garnered widespread support,” she stated.
