She appreciates those who have backed her in the upcoming movie ‘Emergency,’ likening their support to that of benevolent figures. Ranaut, a BJP MP representing Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi, takes on the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the film she has directed. Scheduled for release on September 6, ‘Emergency’ also features Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair, and the late Satish Kaushik in significant roles.
