Lalbaugcha Raja, one of Maharashtra’s most renowned Ganesh Mandals during the Vinayak Chaturthi festival, will appear even more regal this year, adorned with a 20-kg gold crown donated by Anant Ambani and the Reliance Foundation. The crown is estimated to be worth around ₹15 crore.
Anant Ambani has reportedly been closely involved with the Lalbaugcha Raja Committee for several years, regularly participating in the Ganeshotsav celebrations and the grand visarjan. Each year, the Lalbaugcha Raja Public Ganeshotsav Mandal attracts devotees from all walks of life. This year, the 10-day festivities begin on September 7, concluding with the ceremonial immersion of Lord Ganesha idols in water bodies.
