Manu Bhaker Makes History with Second Olympic Medal: India Celebrates

Manu Bhaker, displaying remarkable composure, etched her name in the annals of Indian sports history by becoming the first athlete post-Independence to secure two Olympic medals in a single Games edition. Teaming up with the composed Sarabjot Singh, she captured the 10m air pistol mixed team bronze by outmatching the Korean pair of Lee Wonoho and Oh Yeh Jin with a score of 16-10 at Chateauroux’s shooting range. This victory marked India’s second medal at the event.

In recognition of their achievement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his congratulations to Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh for their bronze win in the 10m mixed team event at the Olympics. “Our shooters continue to shine with pride! Congratulations to Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh for their Bronze medal in the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team event at the Olympics. Their exceptional skills and teamwork are truly commendable. India is filled with immense joy,” stated Prime Minister Modi.
