A source revealed, “Mrunal Thakur is a strong candidate to portray the love interest of Prabhas in this grand project.” While names of other prominent actresses such as Janvhi Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna were considered, director Hanu Raghavapudi is reportedly inclined towards selecting Mrunal, with whom he collaborated on “Sita Ramam.” The source mentioned, “Her portrayal as a princess in Sita Ramam was highly acclaimed, showcasing a nuanced performance coupled with striking beauty. Given her exceptional blend of talent and aesthetics, the director is contemplating casting Mrunal in his upcoming period film.” In addition to her work with Dulquer Salmaan in Sita Ramam, Mrunal has also acted alongside renowned stars like Nani in “Hi Nanna” and shared the screen with Vijay Devarkonda in “The Family Star.” The source highlighted, “She has maintained her allure and reputation in the industry, patiently awaiting significant roles while turning down several offers.”
