In a significant development for Andhra Pradesh, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has publicly thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Union Council of Ministers’ approval for the construction of a new railway line in Amaravati. This announcement marks a pivotal step towards enhancing the capital’s infrastructure and promoting economic growth.

The approved railway project will involve the construction of a 57 km railway line connecting Errupalem, Amaravati, and Nambur, with a total investment of ₹2,245 crores. Kalyan stated that this infrastructure project is expected to accelerate the development of Amaravati, providing crucial connectivity for both residents and visitors.

Kalyan emphasized that the new railway line will not only facilitate access to the capital for officials and employees but will also attract tourists to local attractions, including Amaravati Stupa, Undavalli Caves, Amaralingeswara Swamy Temple, and the Dhyanabuddha Project. He noted that this development would enhance the region’s appeal for both commercial activities and tourism.

Highlighting the project’s broader impact, Kalyan mentioned that the railway line would serve as a vital link to the ports of Machilipatnam, Krishnapatnam, and Kakinada, which are expected to spur industrial growth along the corridor and create numerous employment opportunities.

The Deputy Chief Minister also pointed out the environmental benefits of the project, stating that it is designed to be eco-friendly, with a projected reduction in carbon emissions by 6 crore kg. Kalyan compared this reduction to planting approximately 25 lakh trees, underscoring the commitment to sustainable development.

Moreover, the project is expected to generate around 19 lakh working days, providing significant job opportunities for the local population. Kalyan assured that the construction would employ advanced technology and avoid any disturbance to the Kondapalli Reserve Forest, reinforcing the commitment to environmentally responsible development.

In conclusion, Pawan Kalyan praised the Chief Minister, Shri Chandrababu Naidu, for facilitating the approval of this multifaceted railway project, which he described as a model initiative for the state.
