On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged BJP karyakartas to “challenge the challenges” and provided guidance on enrolling new members as part of the party’s “Sangathan Parva Sadasyata Abhiyan 2024,” which was launched that day.
Modi became the first BJP member to renew his membership, with BJP president J.P. Nadda officially enrolling him at an event held at the party headquarters’ annexe. Modi emphasized that the membership drive is more than a mere “karamkaand (ritual);” it represents an opportunity to grow the BJP family and is both an “ideological and emotional movement.” Alongside Modi, Union ministers Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh also renewed their memberships. Modi also criticized Opposition parties, suggesting they serve as examples of the pitfalls that occur when political organizations lack internal democracy.
