Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Visakhapatnam on November 29 for a significant public meeting at the Andhra University Engineering Grounds in Maddilapalem. This marks his first public address in Vizag after securing a third term as Prime Minister, making it a momentous occasion for the city.
The event is also notable as it comes after the formation of the NDA alliance government in Andhra Pradesh under Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. Visakhapatnam North MLA P. Vishnu Kumar Raju confirmed the meeting, which is anticipated to draw a massive crowd eager to hear the PM’s address.
In a major development, Prime Minister Modi will virtually initiate the foundation-laying ceremony for India’s largest Green Hydrogen Project, spearheaded by NTPC Green Energy Limited. The project, located at Pudimadaka in Atchutapuram mandal of Anakapalle district, is poised to revolutionize sustainable energy in the country.
Initially proposed to be held in Anakapalle district, the foundation ceremony was relocated to Visakhapatnam due to forecasts of low-pressure weather conditions. Anakapalle MP C.M. Ramesh had first suggested the venue, but the shift ensures the event proceeds smoothly.
This visit is expected to underline the central government’s commitment to Andhra Pradesh’s development and showcase its efforts in advancing green energy initiatives. With the city gearing up for this landmark event, the stage is set for Visakhapatnam to witness a day of historic significance.
