Indian badminton star P. V. Sindhu has taken extensive measures to prepare for the Paris Games, including training in a hypoxic chamber and practicing with various partners to adapt to different playing styles. Despite facing some inconsistencies in her recent performances, Sindhu remains optimistic about the possibility of winning a third consecutive Olympic medal, attributing her confidence to the guidance of mentor Prakash Padukone over the past eight months.

With her sights set on a podium finish, Sindhu aims to secure another medal to add to her collection, emphasizing that she is focused on the competition rather than feeling pressured by the prospect of achieving a third medal. Having previously claimed silver and bronze medals at the Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo Olympics, respectively, Sindhu underwent specialized training at Sportcampus Saar in Saarbrucken, Germany, to acclimate herself to conditions similar to those in Paris.

During her training regimen, Sindhu incorporated a hypoxic chamber in her room to simulate low-oxygen environments, a technique commonly used to enhance an athlete’s performance at high-altitude locations. Reflecting on her preparation, Sindhu explained that while she was unable to attend a high-altitude training center due to time constraints, she improvised by creating the chamber in her room, making adjustments to her routine to optimize her rest and recovery.
