The highly anticipated Intermodal Bus Station Project at this location has garnered renewed interest following an on-site inspection conducted by the National Highways Logistics Management Ltd (NHLML) on Sunday. The plan is for this facility to be jointly managed by NHLML and NHAI. CEO Prakash Gaur and project director Pooja Mishra, along with Tirupati MP Maddila Gurumurthy, engaged in a comprehensive evaluation at the central bus stand, assessing the grounds to progress with the project. The station is set to be constructed on a centrally positioned 13-acre site with the goal of alleviating traffic congestion by consolidating various transportation modes at a central hub. The station’s amenities will encompass a passenger terminal, bus terminal, parking for cars and two-wheelers, a helipad, and a ropeway. This inspection took place following the MP’s meeting with Union roads minister Nitin Gadkari two weeks prior, where he advocated for prompt action on this initiative.
