In a tragic and shocking turn of events, the body of Rakhi, a 32-year-old woman from Rajiv Chowk, Gurugram, was found stuffed in a red trolley suitcase on the side of National Highway No. 9, near the Hapur Bypass, Uttar Pradesh, on November 16. Suspicious locals, who noticed the abandoned suitcase, alerted the police, leading to the discovery of the gruesome crime.

Upon reaching the scene, the police opened the suitcase and were horrified to find the lifeless body of the woman. Initial attempts to identify the victim were unsuccessful, and the case remained a mystery until the police launched an extensive investigation.

The Investigation and Breakthrough

The Hapur district police, along with multiple investigation teams, immediately began scouring CCTV footage from highway cameras and toll booths. Using crucial technical evidence from the footage, the police traced the movements of Anshul, the victim’s husband, who had been involved in the crime. The breakthrough came when they learned that Anshul had purchased a new red trolley bag just before the incident.

According to police reports, Anshul and his wife, Rakhi, had a heated argument at their home in Rajiv Chowk, Gurugram, on November 14. The argument, which began over a trivial family matter, escalated quickly. In a fit of rage, Anshul physically assaulted Rakhi and then strangled her to death by pressing a pillow over her mouth and throat. The murder was premeditated, and Anshul kept his wife’s lifeless body in the house for a day before taking any further action.

The Horrifying Disposal Plan

To dispose of the body, Anshul purchased the red trolley bag. He then enlisted the help of his brother-in-law Dheeraj and his father Ramesh to arrange a taxi ride from Gurugram to Hapur. The trio transported the body, ultimately dumping it by the roadside near Achcheja Village, Hapur, in an attempt to conceal the evidence. After the body was discarded, Anshul and his relatives fled the scene.

Arrests and Developments

Thanks to the diligent efforts of the police, including the examination of CCTV footage, Anshul was arrested, along with his father Ramesh, for the murder of Rakhi. The authorities have also launched a manhunt for Dheeraj, who remains at large.

In a statement, Superintendent of Police Jananajay Singh confirmed that the police were able to piece together the timeline of events. Anshul’s violent actions led to Rakhi’s untimely death, and the crime has left the local community in shock.

The murder was not only a personal tragedy for Rakhi’s family but also a reminder of the increasing prevalence of domestic violence and its tragic outcomes. The police continue their investigation and are expected to uncover more details in the coming days.

Conclusion

The discovery of Rakhi’s body in a suitcase and the subsequent arrest of Anshul and his father have shocked the community. The police have vowed to continue their investigation to ensure that justice is served. This chilling crime highlights the need for greater awareness and action against domestic violence.
