Smoke Incident Delays Flight to Dubai at Chennai Airport

Smoke billowed from the plane, which was about to depart for Dubai with 280 passengers on board. Suddenly smoke came from the wings of the plane, causing panic among the passengers and staff. The commotion escalated as the plane was about to take off, leading to a tense situation at Chennai airport.

The incident occurred at around 9:50 pm on a Tuesday while passengers were preparing to board the flight. The Airport Fire and Rescue Team responded promptly to the situation, extinguishing the smoke that had enveloped the aircraft. Approximately 320 passengers were present in the airport terminal and lounge during the incident.

Following the smoke sighting, the technical team conducted a thorough inspection of the plane, managing to resolve the issue within 10 minutes. Airport officials confirmed the arrival of fire engines at the scene and initiated an investigation into the cause of the smoke. As a result of the incident, the flight experienced a delay in takeoff.
