Sri Venkateshwara University Signs MoU to Boost Drone & Space Technology Research in Andhra Pradesh

In a groundbreaking move to enhance the technological ecosystem of Andhra Pradesh, Sri Venkateshwara University (SVU), Tirupati, has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with industry leaders to advance research and innovation in drone and space technologies. The MoU, signed on Thursday, aims to drive the development of next-generation drone solutions and support the state’s ambitious technological initiatives.

Key Aspects of the MoU:

  1. Strategic Partnerships:
    The partnership brings together prominent companies including RFLY Innovations Pvt Ltd, Earthnow Pvt Ltd, Aerohub Pvt Ltd, Aurantius Tech Services Pvt Ltd, and Tech Services Pvt Ltd. These firms will collaborate with SVU to foster cutting-edge research in drone and space technologies.
  2. Boost to Skill Development and Innovation:
    SVU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ch. Appa Rao highlighted that the collaboration will significantly enhance research and innovation in the field, while also focusing on skill development and training opportunities for students and researchers.
  3. Andhra Pradesh’s Drone Policy Alignment:
    The initiative aligns with Andhra Pradesh’s progressive drone policy, positioning the state as a potential global hub for drone manufacturing, research, and training.
  4. Next-Gen Drone and Space Solutions:
    The MoU sets the stage for multiple initiatives, including the establishment of DGCA-approved remote pilot training programmes, incubation programmes for startups and innovators, and collaborative research to advance drone and space technologies.

    By creating a synergy between academia and industry, this collaboration is expected to transform SVU into a leading research hub in drone and space innovation, contributing to the state’s technological growth and providing global opportunities for students and entrepreneurs.
