Actors Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala, who had been romantically linked and seen vacationing together without publicly acknowledging their relationship, made their commitment official on August 8 by getting engaged. The engagement ceremony took place at Nagarjuna’s residence. Proud father Nagarjuna shared the joyous news on Twitter, expressing his happiness at the engagement of his son Naga Chaitanya to Sobhita Dhulipala, which occurred at 9.42 a.m. He welcomed Sobhita into their family and extended congratulations to the couple, wishing them a lifetime of love and happiness.

Sobhita, originally from a Telugu family in Tenali, Andhra Pradesh, but brought up in Visakhapatnam, comes from a background where her father served as an engineer in the Merchant Navy and her mother as a teacher. The couple’s exquisite attire, reflecting their cultural heritage, was showcased on Instagram by designer Manish Malhotra. Sobhita’s ensemble featured textiles sourced from Andhra Pradesh’s weaving communities, paying tribute to her roots and traditions, while Naga Chaitanya wore a traditional 3-piece set, including the classic Pattu pancha, laalchi, and kanduvaa, with intricate dori work in antique gold zari complementing the elegance of ivory brocade and muted gold tussar silk.
