The cabinet sub-committee, led by Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, announced that the application process for these cards will commence in October. Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy highlighted the previous government’s limited issuance of ration cards, emphasizing the current administration’s commitment to providing smart ration and health cards to all eligible citizens. Public representatives are encouraged to contribute their input by the 19th of this month, with final procedures set to be determined by the 21st. The government aims to ensure that smart ration and health cards reach those in need, particularly in the poor and middle-class segments. Following a thorough review of all suggestions, the Cabinet Sub-Committee will present a comprehensive report by the end of the month, paving the way for the issuance of these essential cards.
