The Tightening Grip: Mumbai Actress vs. IPS Officers Scandal Unravels

In the illegal case against Mumbai-based film actress Kadambari Jethwani, a trap is being tightened around senior IPS officers PSR Anjaneyu, former Vijayawada CP Kantirana Tatha, and IPS officer Vishal Gunny. It is reported that there is a possibility of including them as accused in this case. Police officials are consulting legal experts on this. A decision is likely to be taken within a day or two after receiving the legal advice.

On September 13, Jethwani filed a complaint at Ibrahimpatnam PS, alleging that Kukkala Vidyasagar, along with IPS officers PSR Anjaneyu, Kantirana, and Vishal Gunni, acted illegally and arrested him on the basis of forged documents. The police have registered cases under various sections including illegal intrusion, forgery, and creation of false documents. Vidyasagar (A1) was named as an accused in the FIR, while the others remain unnamed pending further investigation.

Recent developments suggest that the three IPS officers may face charges following Jethwani’s complaint, with the government already suspending them pending further action. Police are actively pursuing Vidyasagar, believing his arrest could reveal crucial information about the case.

DGP Vishal Gunni’s report to the government sheds light on the coordinated efforts to apprehend Jethwani, highlighting a planned operation involving multiple officers and strategic maneuvers in Mumbai. Gunni’s report underscores the complexity of the case and raises questions about the officers’ roles in the unfolding scandal.
