A devastating incident unfolded at a fireworks manufacturing plant in Amalapuram when an explosion rocked the area, leaving a family and several others seriously injured. The owner and his family members were among the casualties as they suffered severe injuries in the blast. Following the explosion, the two-storied building collapsed, causing damage to neighboring houses.
The tragic event occurred during preparations for Diwali, a festive time when fireworks are commonly used. Locals recounted being startled by the sudden blast and promptly alerted the authorities. District SP Krishna Rao promptly arrived at the scene to assess the situation as the injured were swiftly taken to Amalapuram Area Hospital for medical treatment, with critical cases transferred to Kims for specialized care.
