Human resources minister Nara Lokesh paid a visit to the Kasturba Gandhi Vidyalayam (KGBV) in Bheemili and Chandrapalem ZP High School in Visakhapatnam on Friday. During his inspection of the schools, Lokesh engaged with both students and teachers to assess the quality of education and available facilities.
Upon his arrival at the KGBV, Lokesh directly interacted with students from the 10th class, discussing their curriculum preferences and exam language choices. Students mentioned their ease with communication in Telugu but revealed that they wrote their exams in English.
Lokesh thoroughly evaluated the effectiveness of the electronic blackboard and reviewed the teaching materials at the schools. He motivated students to set ambitious academic goals and congratulated two students who secured seats in IITs.
During the visit, Lokesh participated in an exhibition called “Local for Vocal,” where students presented their initiatives to promote indigenous products on a global scale. Principal Kumari Ganga briefed the minister on the pedagogical strategies and facilities available at the KGBV.
In a meeting with education committee members, Lokesh emphasized the importance of enhancing educational standards and facilities at the school actively. Later in the day, Lokesh met with prominent leaders from north Andhra, including MLAs, MPs, GVMC corporators, and TD legal cell leaders at the Visakhapatnam district party office. He urged the MPs and MLAs to exert efforts to gain the trust of the people.
