Uttarakhand State Formation Day Celebrated with Grandeur at Telangana Raj Bhavan

The state of Uttarakhand celebrated its formation day with great enthusiasm on Saturday at the Telangana Raj Bhavan, where the occasion was graced by Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma as the chief guest. This special event was part of the ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’ initiative, aimed at fostering stronger cultural and historical ties between different states of India.

Governor Jishnu Dev Varma extended his heartfelt greetings to the people of Uttarakhand, highlighting the significance of the day. He paid tribute to the visionaries and martyrs who played an essential role in the creation of Uttarakhand, acknowledging their sacrifices and fighting spirit.

In his speech, Governor Varma emphasized the deep cultural and historical connections between Telangana and Uttarakhand, saying, “Besides celebrating Uttarakhand’s foundation day, we will also remember the traditions and deep ties that unite both states. The purity of Uttarakhand, coupled with the fighting spirit of Telangana, resonates deeply in both our cultures.”

He continued, stating that the shared values, cultural traditions, and resilience of Uttarakhand were akin to the kinship embedded in Telangana’s heritage, further strengthening the bond between the two regions.

The celebrations featured a series of cultural performances, showcasing the vibrant traditions of Uttarakhand. Guests were treated to Pahadi dance performances, folk songs, and a devotional ‘Gomata Bhajan,’ reflecting the state’s rich cultural diversity. A poem dedicated to Uttarakhand’s heritage and the struggles for its formation added to the festive spirit, capturing the essence of the state’s resilience and traditions.
