On Friday, the Visakhapatnam Port Authority proudly celebrated its 91st Foundation Day, marking a significant milestone in its journey of service and development. The event was led by Dr. M. Angamuthu, the Chairman of the Port Authority, who inaugurated the newly renovated boardroom, aptly named “Vizagapatam.” This special occasion was graced by the presence of Deputy Chairperson Durgesh Kumar Dubey, Chief Lance Officer PSL Swami, and other esteemed senior officials.
In addition to the inauguration, Dr. Angamuthu laid the foundation stone for several greening and beautification projects aimed at enhancing the port’s environmental and aesthetic appeal. The beautification efforts will also extend to the stretch from PCR to Sheela Nagar, as well as the area below the flyover at Convent Junction.
During his address, Dr. Angamuthu highlighted the port’s commitment to operational efficiency, environmental sustainability, and technological advancement. He emphasized the importance of community engagement, noting that these new projects not only aim to beautify the surroundings but also contribute to the overall well-being of the local community.
