In a striking protest against the challenges faced by farmers, Naveen, a young farmer from Parigi Mandal of Sri Sathyasai district, has embarked on a unique journey to meet Andhra Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister, Pawan Kalyan. What makes this journey stand out is that Naveen has chosen a bullock cart as his mode of transport, a symbolic representation of the hardships and backwardness that agriculture in India faces.

The 30-day journey, which began from Hindupuram, will take Naveen to Amaravati, where he plans to meet Pawan Kalyan and raise his concerns about the plight of farmers. Naveen’s message is clear—agriculture is no longer profitable, which is leading to young farmers struggling to find stability, make marriages, or even build families.

Naveen’s bullock cart, adorned with a flexi to spread his message, carries not only his food and belongings but also serves as a vehicle to communicate the dire need for reforms in agriculture. As he travels, he seeks fodder for his bullocks from fellow farmers, further highlighting the close-knit relationship between the farming community.

According to Naveen, one of the most pressing issues is the absence of children among farming families. Young farmers like him are finding it increasingly difficult to maintain their livelihoods, and marriages are not happening due to the financial instability caused by poor agricultural returns. Naveen is determined to bring this issue to the forefront and urge the government to take concrete steps to make agriculture profitable for the younger generation.

This journey, which involves covering 15 to 20 kilometers each day, is not just a personal mission for Naveen but a call for action for all young farmers in India. His actions represent the deep frustration and urgent need for change in the agricultural sector. Naveen’s bullock cart protest is a testament to his dedication to the cause and his belief that the government, particularly Pawan Kalyan, must take notice of the struggles faced by young farmers.

As Naveen’s journey continues, many are watching closely to see whether his efforts will help bring attention to the dire state of agriculture in rural India and spark a broader movement for the betterment of young farmers.
