The ICC has officially announced the revised schedule for the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, bringing a wave of excitement among cricket fans worldwide. Originally planned to take place in Bangladesh, the tournament has now been relocated to the United Arab Emirates due to challenging conditions. Matches will be hosted at the iconic Sharjah Cricket Stadium, setting the stage for a thrilling showdown.

Kicking off the tournament at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, the opening match will feature an intense battle between the teams of Bangladesh and Scotland on October 3. Team India, led by the dynamic Harman Preet Kaur, is gearing up to face New Zealand in their first match on October 4, followed by a highly anticipated clash against arch-rivals Pakistan on October 6.

A total of 23 matches are scheduled for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, spanning from October 3 to October 20. Additionally, a reserve day has been allocated for the crucial semi-finals and finals, adding to the suspense and drama of the competition.

With 10 formidable teams participating in the tournament, the lineup is divided into two competitive groups. Group A comprises powerhouse teams such as Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, while Group B features the likes of Bangladesh, England, South Africa, West Indies, and Scotland. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, with the ultimate winners securing a spot in the finals.
