Team India’s red ball cricket season has not yet started. But, the Duleep Trophy 2024 excitement continues in domestic cricket. In this, many players of the national team are also showing their strength. Some players performed well in the second round of the tournament as well. It also includes the name of wicketkeeper batsman Ishan Kishan. He impressed with a brilliant century in the first innings against India B, sparking discussions about his future in the national team.

Ishan Kishan has been absent from the Indian team for the past few months and is not part of the BCCI central contract. Despite refusing to play domestic cricket, Ishan is determined to make a comeback. Before the Duleep Trophy, he scored a century in the tournament, showcasing his potential. Reports suggest that Ishan may be included in Team India’s squad for the upcoming three-match T20 series against Bangladesh in October, provided Rishabh Pant gets rest.

Pant’s recent form in the T20 World Cup has raised concerns, potentially opening the door for Ishan to replace him in the T20 team. With the series scheduled from October 6 to 12, speculations are rife about squad changes. Reports also hint at possible rests for Shubman Gill, Jasprit Bumrah, and Mohammad Siraj due to the demanding Test cricket schedule.
