Team India’s star wicketkeeper and batsman KL Rahul has recently made headlines with his return to Team India after a prolonged absence due to an injury sustained during the 2024 IPL. His comeback was marked by his participation in the ODI series against Sri Lanka. However, Rahul’s performance in the series was underwhelming, leading to his exclusion from the team starting from the third ODI. Cricket experts speculate that Rahul will need to put in extra effort to secure his position in the Indian team once again.

Amidst his struggles on the field, social media erupted with rumors about KL Rahul’s retirement from international cricket. A post allegedly from Rahul’s Instagram account circulated widely, stating his decision to retire. However, it was later clarified that the post was unrelated to his retirement plans, causing confusion among fans and netizens.

Having debuted in international cricket in 2014, KL Rahul has represented Team India in 50 Tests, 77 ODIs, and 72 T20Is, amassing impressive runs across formats. Besides his international career, Rahul serves as the captain of the Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL, though speculations suggest a potential move to the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the upcoming season.
