India’s cricket enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the commencement of the two-match Test series against Bangladesh, scheduled to kick off on September 19. The focal point of this series is the return of Team India’s talismanic batsman, Virat Kohli, to the Test format after an extended period. Kohli’s last Test match was against South Africa earlier this year, and his presence in the upcoming matches against Bangladesh has reignited the excitement among fans.

The first Test match between India and Bangladesh is set to take place at the iconic MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Kohli made headlines even before the match began by inadvertently breaking a wall during a practice session at the ground. His powerful shot shattered a section of the wall near the dressing room, leaving his teammates astonished.

This incident quickly went viral on social media, with fans and netizens expressing their amazement and anticipation for Kohli’s performance. Comments such as ‘Bangla is no longer crowded, Bangla tigers must be turned away’ started circulating online. Jio Cinemas further amplified the buzz by sharing the video of the wall-breaking incident on its official Twitter account.

Kohli, known for his dedication and hard work, was seen sweating it out during practice sessions and also sought batting tips from Team India’s head coach, Gautam Gambhir. The captain’s commitment to his craft was evident as he prepared rigorously with his teammates for the upcoming series.

In his previous encounters against Bangladesh, Kohli has showcased his prowess by scoring 437 runs in six Test matches at an impressive average of 54.62, including two centuries. As the series approaches, all eyes are on Kohli as he aims to achieve a significant milestone of 27,000 runs in international cricket. With just 58 runs away from this remarkable record, Kohli has the potential to become the fastest batsman to reach this milestone, joining the elite club of Sachin Tendulkar, Kumar Sangakkara, and Ricky Ponting.
