The newly introduced electrical emergency services are designed to provide immediate assistance in the event of electricity disruptions. Whenever there is an electrical issue in Hyderabad, these specialized vehicles will respond promptly to resolve the problem. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka officially flagged off the electrical emergency vehicles near the BR Ambedkar statue on Monday, alongside key officials, including Indana Department Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania and CMDs Musharraf Ali and Varun Reddy.

Key Features of the Initiative

The Telangana government has allocated 57 emergency vehicles to cover each of the 57 subdivisions within Greater Hyderabad. Each vehicle is equipped with a team comprising an assistant engineer and three line staff, ensuring a well-prepared response to electrical emergencies. The vehicles are stocked with essential materials and equipment, including:

• Dharma vision cameras
• Power saw machines
• Ladders
• Insulators, conductors, and cables

How to Access Emergency Services

Residents can access these emergency services by calling the toll-free number 1912. Upon receiving a call, trained personnel will be dispatched immediately to address the reported electrical problems, reinforcing the commitment of the Telangana government to ensure uninterrupted power supply and enhance public safety.

In his announcement on Twitter, Deputy Chief Minister Vikramarka highlighted the uniqueness of this initiative, stating, “Special electric vehicles, akin to ambulances, have been introduced to provide superior electricity services to our people in a manner that is unprecedented in the country.”
